The 19th Asian Games, held in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China, featured over 12,000 athletes representing all 45 members of the Olympic Council of Asia. The event took place from September 23 to October 8 and included a total of 481 events.
Notably, nine sports, namely archery, artistic swimming, boxing, breaking, hockey, modern pentathlon, sailing, tennis, and water polo, also served as Olympic qualifiers, with the opportunity to secure quotas for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
